Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
Ashore Jobs (“Ashore”, “we”) runs ashorejobs.com, a job board for internships, new-grad and experienced roles, with AI tools and agents that can apply for you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: support@ashorejobs.com.
What we collect
Your account. When you sign in with Google, we get your name, email address and profile photo.
What you give us.
- Your resume file and the details we read from it: contact information, education, experience, projects, skills, and your work authorization if you add it.
- A portfolio link or PDF, if you add one.
- Your job preferences: the kinds of roles and countries you want, whether you need visa sponsorship, whether you'd relocate, your years of experience, and any limits you set for your agent.
- Applications you or your agent record, and their status.
- OPT timelines you submit to the OPT Tracker: dates, service center and nationality. These are shown publicly, without your name.
- Invite codes you share or redeem.
What we create for you. Fit checks (how well your resume matches a role) and tailored versions of your resume for specific roles.
AI agents. If you connect an agent, we store its API key only as a one-way hash, plus a short-lived log of its requests so we can enforce rate limits.
Usage. Page views through Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To run Ashore: show you matching roles, flag ones that won't sponsor a visa, run fit checks, tailor your resume, and let your agent search and apply for you.
- To email you about your account and activity, such as your agent's daily summary, and with news and offers from Ashore. You can turn off any kind of email on your Notifications settings page or with the unsubscribe link in every email. Emails about your account itself can't be turned off.
- To keep Ashore secure, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.
- To understand how Ashore is used and improve it.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
AI processing
To read your resume, check your fit for a role and tailor your resume, we send your resume details and the job description to AI models (currently Google's Gemini models, through Vercel's AI Gateway). They process it to return the result.
Your AI agent
When you connect an AI agent (such as Meta's Muse or Claude), it can read your profile, preferences, resume and applications through your API key, and it submits applications to employers on their own websites. What it sends to an employer is then handled under that employer's privacy policy, and the agent itself under its provider's. You can disconnect an agent at any time from your profile, which revokes its key.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run Ashore for us, for that purpose:
- Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting, analytics and the AI Gateway.
- Google: sign-in and AI models.
- Resend: sending email.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect Ashore or its users, or as part of a merger or sale of Ashore, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage for small conveniences, like keeping a half-filled form or remembering a tip you've closed. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account. Removing your resume on your profile deletes the file. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law. OPT timelines you submitted stay on the OPT Tracker without any link to you.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit most of your information on your profile. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email support@ashorejobs.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your data; contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Your data is stored with access controls so that only you (and the agents you connect) can reach it, and is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect it.
Where it's processed
Ashore is run from the United States. Your information is processed there and wherever our providers operate.
Children
Ashore isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you on the site or by email if the change is significant.
